This system consists of gantry truck, trolley, twist-drill sampler and sample preparation unit. The gantry moves along the train rail while the trolley，which is mounted on the gantry, moves in the direction normal to the rail as the twist drill goes up and down. In this way, sampling at any point in a compartment is achieved. The remaining material could be directly sent back to the point where the sample was taken.
The twist-drill sampler and its actuator, the sample preparation unit, electric control cabinet and operation cab are all connected to the trolley and go with the trolley.
